Organic photovoltaic (OPV) technology has developed rapidly in the past few years and is transitioning from R&D labs to production. OPV devices are becoming a scalable solution to produce energy owing to their unique balance of efficiency, flexibility, transparency, colour, low light efficiency, and simple fabrication process.

Extensive research has enabled us to develop a portfolio of novel donor and acceptor materials which can yield OPV devices with >10% power conversion efficiency. Additional effort is being put into ensuring reproducible material synthesis, and designing inks that are easily printable in roll-to-roll coating processes.

Herein we present our recent results related to photoactive inks with different colours and status of our latest materials developed to improve the inherent stability of the OPV devices.

We will highlight device performance results achieved with a series of newly developed materials in collaboration with academic partners. We will also showcase some recent exciting OPV public installations implemented in partnership with Merck.
