How to participate in the conference

Registration

In order to register to the conference, you need to sign up at nanoGe and buy your ticket.

To create an account if you are not yet registered click the "signup" tab insert your details and buy a ticket as usually. Upload a profile picture if it is not yet in the system. You will receive the registration confirmation via e-mail (check bouth, your inbox and spam box).

Login and join the conference

On the scheduled date Login at the conference, click the ‘Virtual Room’ tab which is only available for registered users. Here you will find the live sessions and prerecorded contents available at any time (from the scheduled start day).

  • Live sessions: the invited speakers’ session are a live broadcast. You will see a chat for participant’s interaction.
  • Pre-recorded contents: contributed talks are offered as pre-recorded video presentations. These can be found at the ‘Virtual Room’ tab.
  • Interaction with the authors:

Chat: Each video presentation has a chat available to ask questions.

Live Q&A Session: Live Discussion where the authors will respond the questions.

 

Join the ePoster Session

You can see all the ePosters any time in the "ePoster board" tab (only available for registered users).

The ePoster Session take place in a chat platform available from the ‘Virtual Room’ tab. There, a “Go to ePoster room” buttom will be available for participants to join the chat platform at any moment. The ePoster Session starts officially after the Oral Sessions.

ePoster platform content:

  • Directory with the list of Discussion Channels. Each ePoster has its own channel, identified with the code assigned and the name of the author. For example, 003_Michal_Sullivan
  • General_Poster_Hall with some basic information about all the eposters, provided by the authors and a direct URL to join their channel. The instructions and help assistance will be provided there by the nanoGe staff.

Once you are in the chat, you have to identify yourself using the Talk as anonymous option (not the sign-up option). Write your name and add the code of your ePoster to be identified as an author. For example, 003_Michal_Sullivan.

When you first enter in the ePoster Session chat platform, you will find the Directory with all the rooms.

  1. Access the Chat room and locate the Discussion Channel of your ePoster early before the start of ePoster Conference time.
  2. As a participant, join the channels that you are interested in.
  3. Access the General_Poster_Hall.

 

Don’t miss the Directory! You can access it at any moment using the icon.

The General_Poster_Hall is a room where you can see basic information about all the ePosters, provided by their authors. Authors should share the title, TOC (if you prepared it) and the direct link to access the Disucssion Channel assigned
