How to arrive

Nagoya University is located in the eastern part of Nagoya city, in the Higashiyama Campus area. Below are the most common ways to reach the university:

 

🚇 From Central Nagoya (Nagoya Station)

- Time: Approx. 30 minutes

- Route:

  • Take the Higashiyama Subway Line (yellow line) from Nagoya Station.
  • Get off at Motoyama Station (about 16 minutes).
  • Transfer to the Meijo Line (purple loop line), and get off at Nagoya Daigaku Station (1 stop).
  • Exit the station — the university is right there.

✈️ From Chubu Centrair International Airport (Nagoya)

- Time: Approx. 1 hour

- Route:

  • Take the Meitetsu Line to Kanayama Station (approx. 30–40 minutes).
  • Transfer to the Subway Meijo Line, and ride to Nagoya Daigaku Station (about 20 minutes).

✈️ From Tokyo (Narita or Haneda Airport)

- Time: Approx. 3 - 3.5 hours total

- Route:

  • Take the airport train (Narita Express or Keikyu Line) to Tokyo Station.
  • From Tokyo Station, take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Nagoya Station (approx. 1 hour 40 min).
  • Follow the subway directions from Nagoya Station above.

✈️ From Kansai International Airport (Osaka)

- Time: Approx. 2.5–3 hours total

- Route:

  • Take the Haruka Express or Nankai Line to Shin-Osaka Station.
  • From there, take the Tokaido Shinkansen to Nagoya Station (approx. 1 hour).
  • Follow the subway directions from Nagoya Station above.
