Technical requirements

The oral sessions will take place in Zoom. In order to do it, the speaker will need:

  •  A computer
  • A webcam camera. Normally, laptops have the webcam built-in.
  • Headphones with microphone, or a separate microphone for good quality broadcast.
  •  Slides presentation in PowerPoint
  •  Good network connection, preferably with cable

It is a good idea for the speaker to practice and become familiar with the Zoom application beforehand. It is advisable to be careful when connecting and disconnecting the camera and mute the microphone. The camera and microphone are preferably to be silenced during the symposium if you are not intervening.

The powerpoint presentation is best viewed in 16:9 format for broadcasting. Be careful when converting between 4:3 and 16:9 as it may stretch the figures. The original size of figures can be restored in the figure size menu.
