We present results of study of absorption and fluorescence properties of highly ordered polymeric films and bilayer (or bulk) heterostructures with [6,6]-phenyl‑C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM). As polymer we use poly-3-hexyl thiophene (P3HT) and poly[2,6-(4,4-bis-(2-ethylhexyl)- 4H-cyclopenta [2,1-b;3,4-b′]dithiophene)-alt-4,7(2,1,3-benzothiadiazole)] (PCPDTBT) The polymer films were prepared by spin-coating method and aligned by manually rubbing with velvet cloth on a hotplate. The photo-physical properties have been investigated by means of steady-state and time-resolved absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. The films showed a large in-plane anisotropy, which reveals high degree of orientation of polymer films. The investigation of aligned film can improve our understanding of energetic structures of interfacial charge transfer states due to their play important role in generation of charge generation and recombination in organic solar cells. The peculiarities of absorption and fluorescence spectra in aligned polymer films and heterostructures are discussed.
