We employed a crosslinkable co-SAM to enhance the conformational stability of hole-selective SAMs against external stresses, while suppressing the formation of defects/voids in SAM simultaneously during self-assembly. This effectively hinders the exposure of substrate surface caused by wiggling of loose SAMs under thermal stress to prevent perovskite decomposition. A certified PCE of 26.92% was achieved while possessing excellent thermal stability with negligible decay under maximum-power-point (MPP) tracking at 85 ℃ for 1,000 hours. It also retains >98% of initial PCE after 700 repetitive thermal cycles between -40 ℃ and 85 ℃, representing the forefront result of the field. We also developed a method to reduce the photovoltage loss of wide-bandgap (WBG) PSCs by constructing a localized 2D/3D perovskite heterojunction at the buried interface. This significantly reduced defect density and facilitated charge extraction and perovskite crystallization without compromising bulk optoelectrical properties of 3D perovskite, leading to a record Voc of 1.382 V for 1.79 eV-PSC, exceeding 90% of its SQ limited value. The device retained 95% of its initial PCE (21.2%) after MPP tracking for over 700 h. A perovskite-organic tandem cell was fabricated by integrating this WBG PSC to achieve a high PCE of 28.5%. In addition to work on PSCs, we have also experimentally shown that T1 excitons can be re-dissociated, through the interfacial charge transfer (CT) state, to form free carriers in an OPV system incorporating a non-fullerene acceptor (NFA) with a narrowed singlet-triplet gap. We elucidate how the orbitals distribution in the molecule and exciton delocalization in aggregates affect the singlet-triplet energetics of the acceptor in condensed phase, rendering the controllable traffic between T1 and spin triplet CT states. By introducing this acceptor as a ternary component into other host OPV systems, we manage to recover the triplet-mediated losses and improve OPV efficiencies by maximizing the number of extractable photocarriers.
