The hole-transporter-free, mesoporous carbon triple-stack perovskite solar cell architecture is quickly emerging as a leader in low-cost and scalable photovoltaic technology. The interest in achieving greater efficiency and stability for this particular architecture is widespread, though typically limited to single cells less than 1 cm2 in area. Our team bridges the gap from laboratory scale to the manufacturing line; reporting in this work the establishment of a 9 % PCE benchmark for 220 cm2 active area solar modules and the successful progress toward 520 cm2 solar modules. Production of 520 cm2 large area modules has been achieved, and a prototype array is currently setup within SPECIFIC collecting outdoor data.
