The development of nanocrystal-based devices relies on our ability to understand and tailor the surface chemistry of nanocrystals. Covering the surface of nanocrystals are ligands, which dictate self-assembly, stability, catalytic selectivity, and opto/electronic properties. The objective of this symposium will be to unite researchers that aim to visualize the surface chemistry of nanocrystals through microscopy or spectroscopy and those who design tailored ligands to improve, tune or endow properties to the nanocrystals. Our symposium will have several renowned keynote speakers, excellent invited speakers followed by a session of contributed talks, with ample time for questions and discussions. We will strongly encourage abstract submission for contributed talks and Posters, allowing for a wide variety of researchers to share their exciting work. We will ensure the diversity of our speakers and participants by promoting our symposium through diverse social media channels, making sure we reach an international audience
