Welcome to MATSUS Fall 2026!

The Materials for Sustainable Development Conference (MATSUS Fall 26) will be held in Mallorca, Spain from the 26th to the 30th October 2026.

This conference will provide a comprehensive exploration of key topics in materials science, chemistry, and engineering, disciplines that play a crucial role in building a more sustainable future. Achieving true sustainability requires using resources at a rate lower than their natural regeneration and addressing the embodied energy of manufacturing in relation to the energy it delivers. The conference will address a broad sustainability agenda, focusing on the development of alternative energy technologies to reduce dependence on fossil fuels, enhance energy efficiency, and minimize the environmental impact of technological and economic growth. It will also highlight responsible materials use, environmental health and safety, and other critical dimensions of sustainable development. By bridging fundamental, multidisciplinary research with applied science, the program combines scientific rigor with practical relevance, aligning its vision with the Sustainable Development Goals.
