The Sustainable Technology Forum València (STECH23) will be focused on the industrial application in areas like clean energy transition (decarbonisation, sequestration and use of CO2 in industry, and hydrogen generation), sustainable chemistry and circularity, expansion of photovoltaics and sustainable transport.

The following topics are highlighted:

Daniel Campo

Commercial Director at Basf

Daniel Campo is Commercial Director of the BASF Group in Spain and Portugal since 2017 and part of the Management Committee of the BASF Group in Iberia. Daniel started his career at BASF in 1995 and has been linked to Sales ever since. Between 2010 and 2017 he was Commercial Director of the BASF Group for Italy and Greece. Between 2002 and 2005 he moved to Germany, where he served as European Commercial Director of Polymers for the Paint segment, a responsibility he continued to exercise until 2010 from Spain. Since 2005 he has also been responsible for the sales team in Southern Europe for the Polymers Division.

 

Ignasi Cañagueral

Director of the Dow Tarragona Industrial Complex and the Operations Hub for Southern Europe

Ignasi Cañagueral, is from 2019, Director of the Dow Tarragona Industrial Complex and the Operations Hub for Southern Europe. Ignasi joined Dow in 1988 as a process control engineer at the Low Density Polyethylene plant in Tarragona and has held various positions in Tarragona, Navarra, Corregio and Cardano al Campo (the latter in Italy). He returned to Tarragona in 2003 as production leader of the Solution plants and, in 2008, he was appointed Responsible Care Leader and head of infrastructure for Spain and Portugal. Ignasi assumed the position as Director of Engineering and Maintenance in 2017, adding the responsibilities of Director of Reliability for EMEAI.

 

Olivia Estrella

Secretaria General en Agencia Valenciana de Innovación - AVI

Olivia Estrella holds a degree in Economics from Alicante University with special awardon graduation and a Masters in Economic Analysis from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she has also worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics and Economic History for four years.Since 2006 he has developed his professional activity in the competitive intelligence department of the Technological Institute of Footwear and Related Industries (INESCOP). As project manager, Estrella has coordinated the execution and management of R + D + i projects, especially international ones,on new materials and processes andadvanced manufacturing, among other areas. In February 2018, she was selected as General Secretary of the Innovation Agency for the Valencian Region(AVI).

 

 

Ruben Folgado

General Manager at Messer

Rubén Folgado, General Manager of Messer Ibérica de Gases S.A.U. (Spain) and MesserGas Distribuçao de Gases Industriais Unipessoal Lda. (Portugal), has been part of the Messer team since 1994. Since 2013, he has directed the AEQT energy commission. Representing the 32 chemical and petrochemical companies that make up the association and their business partners, he states that “Messer's service culture has been essential to comply with the supply of gases to the companies of the polygon for almost 50 years without incident”.

 

Ricardo Olalla Guerra

Bosch Group; Business Area “Mobility Solutions”: Vice-president Sales for Spain and Portugal

Holds a physics degree by “Universidad Autónoma de Madrid”. He works for the Bosch Group since 2022. He has experience in ABS/ESP application, product development for electrical drives, mostly windshield wipers, testing labs, prototype workshop, project management and sales, in different positions in Spain, Germany, United States of America and Mexico. Since January 2011 he manages the Mobility Solutions Sales department for Spain and Portugal, responsible for OE sales. Since 2021 he also manages the OE Mobility Solutions Quality Customer Service for Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Benelux, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye, Russia and Africa. He cooperates with the automotive industry as member of the board of SERNAUTO (Spanish Association of automotive suppliers) as well as ASEPA (Spanish automotive professionals association). He cooperates with INSIA (Institute for Automotive Research of the Technical University Madrid) as member of the board of the Automotive Engineering Master Program.

 

Ungyu Paik

Professor of Energy Engineering at Hanyang University, South Korea

Ungyu Paik is a distinguished HYU professor of Department of Energy Engineering at Hanyang University, Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree from Department of Ceramic Engineering at Clemson University in 1991. Prior to starting his professor position at Hanyang University in 1999, he conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA. His research interest is synthesis and engineering of nanomaterials for the applications in energy devices. He has an abundant academic achievement with more than 390 SCI papers and hold 88 patents. With his knowledge, expertise, and insight, he served as a minister in ministry of trade, industry, and energy of Korea from 2017 to 2018. Now he is back on an academic career. He was selected in highly cited researchers as part of the “Crossfield” arena in 2020 ~ 2022 by Clarivate Analytics.
